Performance Comparison Test

We are so excited about the performance of Vidomi .403, we just had to share some of our results with you. We aren't saying this was a real scientific test, but it was designed to be a quick, simple, direct comparison.

In most tests we've done between the new and old versions of Vidomi, we found speed increases ranging from 75% to 100%. When we ran the same clip on a dual Pentium 933 using divx 3.11a, Vidomi .403 cropped, aspect ratio corrected (scaled), encoded MP3 audio at 128kbps and encoded the video in 3 minutes and 5 seconds, less than the actual time of the 3 minute 40 second clip!

By testing without scale, crop, and audio we have a simple easy to understand comparison of the various encoders core decode/encode process.

Settings used in all products are:
 · No Audio decode or encode
 · No Scale/Resize
 · No Crop
 · YUV encode mode used where available.
 · SSE IDCT used if option was available. Auto detection used if available.

DivX™ 4 Parameters were set to:
 · 1 Pass Quality Based
 · Performance/Quality was set to "Slowest"
 · No CPU usage limit
 · No Deinterlace
 · Encoding Quality set to 85%

Programs Tested / Comments about Settings
